The new book “Brückenschlag: Rechtsvergleichende Betrachtungen zum deutschen und türkischen Recht” published by Nomos, a prestigious publishing house in Germany, includes two book chapters written with the joint contributions of Ozan Emin Halhallı, Research Assistant at our Department, and Dr. Susanne Schuster, a faculty member at the Faculty of Law.
The first of these chapters is written by Research Assistant Ozan Emin Halhallı and Dr. Susanne Schuster is titled “Menschenwürdige Unterbringung von Strafgefangenen im türkischen und deutschen Recht - Eine Analyse verfassungsrechtlicher Rechtsprechung”. This chapter examines the constitutional judicial decisions on the housing conditions of convicts in the Turkish and German legal systems with examples.
In the other part of the book, again, Research Assistant Ozan Emin Halhallı and Dr. Susanne Schuster, titled “Durchsuchung von Strafgefangenen unter vollständiger Entkleidung im türkischen und deutschen Recht”. This chapter comparatively examines the legal regulations and practices in both countries regarding the full strip search of convicts.
This book, which is available to the reader through Nomos Publishing House, is a new resource for law students, academics and anyone interested in Turkish German legal relations. The book is expected to be a good example of the academic and professional cooperation between the two countries and to constitute an important basis.
