Chief Advisor to the President Akif Çağatay Kılıç was a Guest in the Opening Lecture of our Political Science and International Relations Department

Ambassador Akif Çağatay Kılıç, Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security, met with the students of the Political Science and International Relations Department of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of our University on February 28, 2025. The 2024-2025 Academic Year Spring Semester Opening Lecture entitled “The Future of Turkey-Germany Relations in the Age of Uncertainty” was held in the YDYO Conference Hall with the participation of our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş, Head of the Political Science and International Relations Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Enes Bayraklı, our academicians as well as students.
In the programme, which attracted remarkable interest from our academics and students, the President’s Foreign Policy and Security Advisor Ambassador Akif Çağatay Kılıç, who concentrated on the transformation of information as we transitioned to the information age, underlined the uncertainty caused by the difficulty of accessing accurate information in the post-truth period. Within the framework of this uncertainty, Kılıç evaluated the relations between Turkey and Germany in light of historical flow, integration and bilateral agreements. Following his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Enes Bayraklı thanked Akif Çağatay Kılıç for his valuable contributions and presented him with flowers.
After the programme, Akif Çağatay Kılıç, along with our Rector, visited the Mevlüde Genç Library looked into and received information about the library.
